Three Sisters Women’s Program

Created For Women Who Have Served

Three Sisters is a women-only equine‑assisted therapy program designed specifically for female Canadian Armed Forces members living with an Operational Stress Injury (OSI). In a supportive environment, participants build practical tools to strengthen communication, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater confidence.

A Space To Learn, Reflect, And Rebuild

Led by registered psychologists and trained facilitators, Three Sisters combines trauma‑informed learning with equine‑assisted therapy in a structured, multi‑day program. Participants work alongside horses, peers, and clinicians to better understand their responses to stress, strengthen emotional regulation, and build skills that carry into everyday life.

Participants can expect:

Sometimes the strongest step forward begins in a space where you feel understood.

Recognizing That Every Journey Looks Different

Women who have served can experience Operational Stress Injuries in ways that are shaped by their own experiences, careers, and family responsibilities. Three Sisters provides a dedicated environment where participants can learn alongside women who understand those realities.

Like every Can Praxis program, Three Sisters is built around practical application rather than passive discussion. Horses respond honestly in the moment, creating opportunities for reflection, learning, and meaningful change supported by clinical expertise and lived experience.

Designed For Female Canadian Armed Forces Members

Three Sisters is open to female Canadian Armed Forces members living with an Operational Stress Injury who are ready to build practical tools for life beyond service.

If you’re unsure whether the program is right for you, our team is here to answer questions and help guide the next step.
